Recruitment Guidelines for Imorral Majority

Overview

Due to the new ambitions of Imorral Majority and Imorral Dragons Alliance, developing a plan for short and long term growth is warranted. To this end Imorral Majority has started a recruitment drive seeking qualified PvP pilots. The purpose of these Guidelines is to provide a systematic approach to all recruiting efforts. Candidates who meet these requirements should generally be accepted.

Phase 1

Attract quality pvp talent to Imorral Majority. Phase 1 is not an alliance effort although it is intended to advance alliance interests.

All IM members are encouraged to contact known pilots and sift the Eve forums at http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=channel&channelID=109585 An initial review of this forum indicates that recruitment by this means is viable.

We have now posted an ad at http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=880543. All members are encouraged to post on that link to keep IM at the top of the heap.

Arrow Guidelines

Mic Use: --- Eve voice. This category is non-negotiable and mandatory.
Age: --- 21 or older.
Language: --- Clear English
Addiction: --- Eve. Must state that they play too much.
Minimum skill: --- HAC pilots are preferred but we will consider interceptor pilots.
Attitude: --- Mature, relaxed, can take a loss and get up, and won't blow a fuse if he/she flies with criminal defense attorneys, pimps, evil geniuses, bloodthirsty killers, Scotsman, and the like. No ego pricks. Must love to fight win or lose.

The Guidelines should be openly communicated with all prospective pilots and they should respond to each category.

Our Virtues

Don't be shy: we rock! Assets include (1) our space and stations (2) impressive kill ratios as documented by http://badd.griefwatch.net/?p=campaigns (3) obsessive but fun core of
pilots willing to take risks and try new ventures and (4) mature environment.

Approval

All candidates should be interviewed by eve voice involving two or more directors or just Jvol. Non-directors are encouraged to participate too. If a consensus among those conducting the interview exists, an offer may be made. There is no reason to gather more input or ask Jvol. Once a pilot is accepted, the recruiting member should, if possible, make a special effort to make introductions and otherwise ease the transition.

Recruitment Ethos

We here at IM believe inside every pilot is a killer waiting to blossom. A player meeting the Guidelines should generally be accepted. But do trust your gut. A player who meets the guidelines but "feels" wrong is wrong.

Probation period

An informal probation period exists. If in the first day or two the pilot does not observe the mic policy, and they do not supply a reasonable justification, they should be purged. If they are an ego prick they should be purgued. And within the first two weeks or so, we would like to see active participation in combat regardless of kills and losses. We can develop skills but not interest; if the interest is there, then we believe that success will follow.

Corporation recruitment

In theory each member of an absorbed corporation will independently have to meet the Guidelines. The reality is that vetting an entire corporation is unrealistic but the probation evaluation becomes more important in this instance.

Phase 2

Once we are established, we propose recruiting peasants to exploit the natural resources of our space for passive income for our members. Phase 2 recruits should be folded into the alliance, possibly in AOI. The guidelines for now remain undetermined, but this author proposes more liberal requirements.
